NRC Reveals Decision on Dove Season

(Lansing, September 9, 2004) -- The Natural Resources Commission made its decision "known" to open season on mourning doves and allow shooters to take 15 birds per day through the end of October. Toxic lead shot is allowed. It is unfortunate that the NRC is charging forward with the hunt even though concerned citizens are circulating petitions for the highly controversial issue to go directly to the people for a vote.
