Minnesota's Peace for Doves

Minnesota citizens do what they can for their peace dove. The Minnesota legislature buried a dove shooting measure in an unrelated bill to establish an unwanted dove shooting season in that state. The dove shooting language was included only by a "tie," which allowed it through. See more here.

Citizens Against Dove Hunting
For over 30 years this organization has tracked and contributed to educational methods resulting in successful efforts to keep dove hunting out of the state of Michigan. The dedication of this organization is second to none and they hold the complete historical archive of the dove hunting issue in Michigan.

HEAL-PAC
Humanitarians  for  Environmental  and  Animal  Laws  Political Action Committee has worked to pass animal and environmental protection laws; and actively supports the re-election campaigns of compassionate legislators. 

Citizens For Fair Representation
This organization is actively pursuing change that would allow for an elected (accountable) Natural Resource Commission that would reflect and represent the varied wildlife interests of all Michigan citizens. 

Michigan Sportsmen Against Dove Hunting
The majority of hunters and sportsmen in Michigan clearly express personal beliefs and adamantly oppose the "hunting" of doves as a legitimate game species. The SPC membership includes avid hunters in Michigan, these true sportsmen and women do not feel "hunting" doves is hunting at any level and they protect the traditional hunting image in Michigan.
